At what point does something become too much to defend what's supposedly most important to you?
Would you be willing to die in their place, then? Or, how about this: would you just be willing to harm someone in order to get back a friend that was taken away? It doesn't even have to be fatally!
Or perhaps, would you be willing to do something your friend wouldn't forgive you for, if it meant saving their life?
If that's too much for you, I have to wonder about the lengths of your convictions.
