On the other hand-- it's a natural reaction to fight back if someone were to attack you first, and endanger you. No one would blame you for killing someone if it was done in defense of yourself.

People like you are a lot more selfish than you give yourself credit for.

At what point does something become too much to defend what's supposedly most important to you?

Would you be willing to die in their place, then? Or, how about this: would you just be willing to harm someone in order to get back a friend that was taken away? It doesn't even have to be fatally!

Or perhaps, would you be willing to do something your friend wouldn't forgive you for, if it meant saving their life?

If that's too much for you, I have to wonder about the lengths of your convictions.
