[ the feed opens to julius in the garden, standing beneath a fruit tree - a young man in his early twenties, with blond hair and clear golden eyes. he looks a tad tired, with dark shadows under his eyes - but for those who knew him from before, he appears to be in better condition than they last saw him.
notably, he wasn't at the icebreaker. but - those are minor details. ]
Hello, everyone. My name is Julius.
[ he gestures to the greenery behind him with a sweep of his hand, a slight smile tugging at his lips ]
I'm interested in developing the garden - we may need to upkeep it ourselves in the future, and I would imagine the relevant skills would be necessary in other worlds for ensuring a consistent food supply. However, I don't have much knowledge on cultivation myself. If we work together, we'll have a better chance at succeeding.
[ his expression settles back into its usual quiet seriousness now, as appropriate for something more dangerous ]
I was a soldier back home, and I used to teach drills to my teammates. In the interest of keeping our skills sharp, I would also like to propose some sparring sessions and other exercises.
[ a pause, before: ]
If you're interested in either of these, please let me know. I look forward to working with everyone here.

From two metres to up to thirty or so metres large. They were monsters to be hunted, not very sentient.
[ not in the human sense of the word. though now he knows that they are connected to the will of the planet itself, so they wouldn't evolve past animalistic intelligence.
mostly..... ]

Wow. Yeah, that's big. Big as the ro-beasts.
[Big as Voltron, but Keith leaves that unsaid for the time being. He offers something of a wry grin though.] So... that'll be an adjustment if you're sparring with regular people-sized... people.
[Slightly smaller than all that.]

Yeah. Back home, I was more of a hunter. I don't want to hurt people unnecessarily because of my inexperience.
[ by hurt, there's the implication of kill. he was certainly strong enough to do so, so it's a matter of applying his strength with caution ]

Makes sense. So you have to get used to having a human opponent.
[A pause and he adds, because "human" doesn't even fit him fully, so he should elaborate,] Or not human. Part human. Whatever they are, but an opponent who isn't a monstrous creature.

Exactly. The sooner I can be confident of this, the easier it will be. Just in case we need to fight someone.

Makes sense to me.
[Keith is a believer in the power of sparring and training.] If you're looking for an opponent, I'd definitely be happy to volunteer.

[To his annoyance.]
