The longer I’m in the form of the Black Lion the harder it is to stay in control of my emotions and the more alien being the Lion feels. And it sounds like yours could be using all of your body at once. First time I ever changed shape I was utterly exhausted. Try to rest more than you normally would until you’re used to it.
