That's all I'm looking for. [probably.]

What is it that would give you peace of mind? Financial stability? Job satisfaction? Maybe you just want to stay home and raise the kids?

Financial stability is one of them. Keeping my grades on track as well. Knowing my friends are doing well. Things like that.

I've gotten quite a few people to answer. People love to talk about themselves~

What a perfectly mundane life. Is that all you've ever dreamed about? Going to school, spending time with friends, getting a good job?

It makes for an obtainable goal. Some people will do anything to get to where they need to go, that's all. Sorry if you were expecting something saucier.

I suppose it's wise to be aware of one's limits. You've got that going for you.

But I don't particularly care to deal with boring people. I can't stand people that simply coast through life.

And who's saying that any of that requires someone to coast through life? Living comfortably's not something that can just be obtained by doing the bare minimum. I've already had to work hard to get what I have now.

Then I shudder to think what you might have to do if you were forced to think outside of life's normal parameters. Then again, I suppose being here is exactly that?

If all you can conceive is living comfortably, than that certainly seems the bare minimum to me. [It was the prospect of a life like that that had driven Joshua to seek out the UG, after all.]

That's exactly what this is then, and I'll respond the way I always do. I refuse to coast by and rest on my laurels.

So, that just leaves me to ask. If you can't accept having a comfortable life as something to strive for, then what kind of goals do you have?

I'll spare you my life's story, but I was never satisfied with everything the world told me I should've been satisfied with. I wanted the power to do something more than simply watch life pass me by.

And I did! Isn't that inspiring?

That depends. Ambition is admirable, but it's hard to call it inspiring when it could have multiple outcomes.

That's true. It's easy for ambition to poison the minds of weak-willed people. But I think taking the gamble is much more admirable than avoiding the risk. And a lot more interesting too.
