Hi, this is Ludger Kresnik. Hope you're all doing okay out there.

[ what with the whole shadow monsters thing. ]

Has anyone found out anything more about the princess's whereabouts? With the way the Queen was talking, and the fact that, uh, Ka'pouli guy seemed interested in her, I couldn't help but think that it might be important to find her.

[ he's not at all running on knee-jerk reaction to the last time he saw a number of powerful figures become extremely interested in a single girl. ]

Right now I'm at the palace, looking for any clues. If anyone wants to meet up and figure out a search pattern or trade information or something, let me know.

[ there's a pause before Ludger mutters 'where are her rooms anyways' and the message cuts off. ]

Well met, Ludger. My name is Lucina.

[ Her own investigation, for lack of a better word, has been hampered by her own need to help everyone she sees who might need it - she keeps getting distracted. There is one thing of note she can add to the discussion, however. ]

I was able to search the brig, although it offered little insight into the matter of the princess. But this alleged king performed fairly elaborate sorcery to escape.

[ She's thinking that him ensorceling the princess is very possible! But - without evidence - it need not be said quite yet. ]

[ ugh he hates magic ]

You'd think the guards would have noticed something like that...

[ oh hey, the guards. ]

The princess probably visited Ka'pouli at some point, right? Think any of the guards saw something?

It is certainly possible. There were no signs of a forced exit - either he possesses the power to escape, which is a curiosity of its own, or he had a guard assist him.

[ A curiosity because, well, if he had been incarcerated for so long with the power to get out, why did he wait until now? It doesn't make sense. There might be something else going on behind the scenes. ]

... I hope he hasn't converted all the guards in the prison to his side or something.

[ all those convicts lose - that's bad. ]

Maybe he got the princess to arrange things for him? But I can't think of why she'd go along with it...

[ That... that is also a possibility, yes. Unlike Ludger, Lucina can think of a very clear reason.

Gently, she says - ]

He may be her brother, if what he says holds any truth.

Is that not reason enough?

I haven't found her, but I was asking around and it turns out she was visiting the high security areas of the prison - more specifically, the guy who just escaped. I was about to head over and check out her room to see if there were any clues there.

[So if you want to meet up, she is down to have a search buddy.]

Things do seem to be getting a bit dire without her, doesn't it. I'd say if she were able to come back, she would've by now. Which tells me we need to free her. Wherever she is.

Just so you know, there... might not be anyone left to free.

Come now, it's a bit early to be making such an assumption. As far as I understand it, our little princess is the token to pushing back the dark. Why send us here just to be eaten by it. That sounds like it'd be very poor planning on Miss Astoria's part.

I don't know about her being a cornerstone or anything - I just don't think she should be overlooked?

You have a lot of faith in Astoria. Have you been part of the Circle for a while?

Nothing new. Tried to bust into the higher security area before the King broke out, but we got caught by security before we could make it to his cell.

[A4 and North tried their best but definitely did not succeed. Unfortunate!]

Have you found anything at the palace?

Most of the guards are busy with the shadow monsters, so I haven't talked to them. I'm planning on checking out the princess's quarters next, in case something got overlooked.

[ like a convenient note or diary or something ]

Nothing on my end yet– [ Being stuck out in the fields didn't yield much, admittedly. ] –but I guess if there's any place to land some clues, it'll be the place she lived in. I'm not far—I can lend a hand.

I'd really appreciate it. I don't have a lot of experience with this kind of thing, but I know we'll need as much help as we can get to find her.

Heh—I'm not really a detective, but if nothin' else, scouting is pretty much my thing. [ So that's something! ] I'm not in any danger, either, so I'd say focus on watching your own back until I get there.

but the princess's room is... erm. well it's a lot fancier than his old room in Trigleph? honestly, he's not sure what he should be looking at. did she leave a secret diary or something? will he get thrown in jail for treason for reading the princess's secret diary?

also what's with that basin? how do you have a distinct, separate liquid when you're in the sea? ]

... Does anyone smell pasta margarita, or is it just me?
