[ the feed opens to julius in the garden, standing beneath a fruit tree - a young man in his early twenties, with blond hair and clear golden eyes. he looks a tad tired, with dark shadows under his eyes - but for those who knew him from before, he appears to be in better condition than they last saw him.
notably, he wasn't at the icebreaker. but - those are minor details. ]
Hello, everyone. My name is Julius.
[ he gestures to the greenery behind him with a sweep of his hand, a slight smile tugging at his lips ]
I'm interested in developing the garden - we may need to upkeep it ourselves in the future, and I would imagine the relevant skills would be necessary in other worlds for ensuring a consistent food supply. However, I don't have much knowledge on cultivation myself. If we work together, we'll have a better chance at succeeding.
[ his expression settles back into its usual quiet seriousness now, as appropriate for something more dangerous ]
I was a soldier back home, and I used to teach drills to my teammates. In the interest of keeping our skills sharp, I would also like to propose some sparring sessions and other exercises.
[ a pause, before: ]
If you're interested in either of these, please let me know. I look forward to working with everyone here.

Very true. But this hostess of ours, Astoria - she's better than the previous host I worked with. Maybe, she's more receptive to the idea of sending us back.

[there's a levity to his tone; he does, in the end, like Astoria, even if he doesn't care for her methods.]
She has a lot on her mind right now, but if she's willing to meet us halfway and let us have a say in what's going on, then she might be able to send us home once we work a few things out. I'd settle for just being able to send a message home, honestly.

[ but enough of qri - ]
That sounds like a good idea. If we help her a little, maybe we can request it after we take some of the burden off her back.

Exactly. And it seems like the only reason she brought us here in the first place is because she needs people who are able to leave. So if we can figure out what's keeping her stuck here and she can get back to doing her job, she doesn't have a reason to keep anyone here against their will. She seems reasonable enough to be open to that.
we can wrap up soon? :D
since they both agree on this, maybe they can talk about something a bit more productive...? ]
Mm. There isn't much we can do yet before we head out, so I was considering neatening up this place if we're going to live here for a bit.
sure thing!
