text; a thought
So...I was thinking (dangerous, I know)
But don't get me wrong, the Horologium was definitely awful in a lot of ways, but I can't help but feel that we came out of it with some measure of success. At least, more than Akvos?
I guess I'm wondering if there's a way we can figure out what we did differently between the two worlds. Or past worlds, for that matter, but I wasn't around for those.
I think if we know what we've done that works, then we can be ready for the next world. Or at the very least, prevent another Akvos.
If anyone's got any thoughts, I'd like to hear them.
Thanks

Still, thanks.

That did take some insight. The crew before us had a plan to use the zero gravity in the gym to separate it from the shadows. For some reason they were unable to complete the assault. We took up where they left off, easily enough.

Was there any indication what the monster actually was?

Akvos was messy. In more ways than one.

Coordinated how? I know we weren't all separated like we were in Akvos so it was a bit easier to herd the cats.

Maybe our group is just better at completing tasks than it is as general diplomacy. Though I'm not sure if Akvos fell apart because of negotiations between the merpeople or because we spent too much time in that Void.

But it's good that we've got a strength somewhere. That's a start.

I guess it's getting better at reading the room?

That might be something to work on if nothing else. We may not be able to come up with every scenario, but we could at least get some of those who aren't as good at it some tips on what to look for and how to react.

Do you know anyone like that?

[ That.. was probably sarcasm? ]
I'm not particularly fond of blood sacrifice as a mean of success.

Which is kind of the point, figuring out how to prevent that.

And not sending kids down, either.

[Even if these kids seem weirdly capable.]
But a focus on more information gathering would be really good, as well as making sure we share it.

Granted it didn't help that the ship was not in the best shape.]

[ Vex might still be annoyed that Astoria 'broke' the Earring of Whispers. ]
But just because I don't doesn't mean someone else might not have an idea. Could be worth raising with that library group who're recording things. Someone from a different world might have a suggestion.

Seems like a good resource to tap. You wouldn't happen to know who's in that?
