[ the weather is . . . insane, at the moment, given the sudden shift in every single quadrant of the temple making it spring, summer, winter, and fall simultaneously. roy has steadily been ignoring it, focused instead on collecting information, and preparing for the inevitable next world jump.
that being said: ]
I hope this place picks one season, soon.
[ tiredly, as he shakes the snow out of his hair. someone has recently been through the snowy abyss that is the winter section of the temple. it looks like, from the background, that roy is in the kitchen area. the fire-brick oven is just behind him. ]
At any rate, we've recently lost a slew of members, and we need to regroup, and calculate who is missing, and who is still here. We had a successful trip, for the most part. [ ilde's meltdown excluded. ] Hopefully our good luck continues. I think we've all come to the agreement by now that this place can turn on a dime.
[ roy pauses, again, before his face settles into something a bit more somber. having been here since the very start, roy is used to this song and dance by now. it's only a matter of time before people are sent home, and he runs a hand through his hair, shaking out the last of the snow. ]
So. Who have we lost? And who is still here? And does anyone have any bets on what is coming next?
[ at the very least, roy is here to listen. ]

[She's doing what she can to stay positive. Which for her means to keep moving forward.]
That's fair, the cold can be pretty darn chilly. It actually might be a neat idea to try and organize up a beach day with everyone in the circle. Set up some games, go swimming, ...Do you think the servants know how to barbecue?
I have no idea.
[ it's an interesting mental image, to be sure. unseen servants juggling utensils and starting some sort of grill or fire... ]
But seeing as they've managed to appear everything out of seemingly nothing, I can't imagine getting a fire going is beyond them. Or serving a summer beach party.

That could be a good way to cheer everyone up with all the people that just came and left. Maybe I'll experiment with this idea a bit first and see how it goes.
It could bring everyone we have here a little closer together!

[ to, you know. laze around the lake. or something.
roy has literally never taken a vacation ruby, help. ]
I'm certain people would attend, if you let them know about it. You know how the old saying goes: If you build it, they will come.

[He's too far gone. She can't do anything for him now.]
I'll give it a shot and see what happens! Worst case scenario I end up with a bunch of food I have to eat all by myself.
I think I can handle that.

[ including a bunch of food to eat by yourself. ]
But something tells me that plenty of people would attend. You strike me as someone who had to have made more than a few friends, here.

...And I don't think I've made any outright enemies since I got here.

[ for the most part, there hasn't been a notorious "big bad." as far as roy knows, anyway. ]
But I have trouble envisioning you as the sort to make enemies, regardless.
no subject
[There's a playful shrug.]
I mean it depends, really. If you're the criminal sort I tend to thwart plans and meddle. They don't like that very much.

[ edward and alphonse would get along with ruby famously, that much roy was certain of. ]
I'm sure criminals would have no rest, with you around.

[She can picture it now. She has a pretty good imagination.]
I'm like the alarm clock to their dastardly deeds. Waking them up right when they get to the good part of the their criminal deeds.

[ roy frets constantly but is very good at pretending he doesn't fret at all, thank you. ]
But I could use someone like you, in my universe. Thwarting criminal activity is a full-time job, and it sounds like you have the market cornered.
