[ TEXT ]

So, asking for a friend: let's say someone was a falsely accused war criminal wanted on an intergalactic level back at home. Would he have any reason to worry about showing his face here?

It's statistically unlikely. Presumably there's a near infinite number of dimensions out there, and the odds of landing in any one in particular would have to be astronomically low.

... But you- I mean, your friend might want to get out in front of it just in case it comes up.

I can't imagine what would have given them that impression.

So what was he accused of, exactly?

Well, it's not every day that most of us run into someone who's wanted through multiple galaxies. Of course people are gonna be curious.

That's... pretty heavy stuff. How did he end up catching the blame for that one?

Yeah, I bet.

I know a guy who was once on the most wanted list for something he didn't do. Not on an intergalactic scale, but even in one country can be rough when you can't leave it.

Sort of both. He got most of the blame, I was considered guilty by association.

Murder, mostly. Particularly when your name gets attached to a string of them.

Yeah. I was there when all of this happened. It was just dumb luck more than anything that it all fell on him instead of me.

With his--friend's--luck, the odds are much higher.

It's hard to factor luck into statistics.

[ But said with resignation, because he's personally been on both the good and terrible ends of skewed odds. ]
