Hey. So my name is Dr. Nathaniel Heywood, but most people just call me Nate. I'm a historian, not a medical doctor, so if that's something you need, I probably can't help you much there. But if you ever want some good trivia about different period's in Earth's history, I'm your man.

Anyway. That's not this is about. I have a question. So it seems like our powers from home don't work here, and we have cool new powers instead which you know, is cool and all, but say if some of your abilities back home had neutralized a disease you had struggled with most of your life back home -- would you find yourself suffering from it again here?

Just, you know, asking for a hemophiliac friend of mine.

Astoria's understanding of people's physiology seems...incomplete. She understands that we need to eat, for example, but she seemed fascinated by the process of eating.

Fascinated how?

I found her staring at myself and a number of other people when they were eating at the carnival, as if she'd never witnessed the phenomenon before. So I took it upon myself to explain some of the basics of human table manners to her.

[It made the conversation less awkward than being stared at while eating, at least.]

That was good of you, at least. Sometimes other beings just don't get that kinda stuff.

[nate's seen that with some of the magical creatures, at least.]

At least she seems to have a clear grasp of what sort of food we can all eat.

[There are so many things that could have gone wrong if she didn't.]

There is that. It'd be bad if she messed up people's food allergies or something.

Or the food could have been barely edible. So she has been mindful of our needs. Perhaps Astoria was mindful of your friend's medical concerns when granting whatever new power your friend might have.

I don't think that's the case, though I suppose it could be a little early to know for sure.

I suppose you could seek her out and ask. I believe she can see the network, but isn't known to reply very often to it.

Is there a better place to go looking for her?
