Hey. So my name is Dr. Nathaniel Heywood, but most people just call me Nate. I'm a historian, not a medical doctor, so if that's something you need, I probably can't help you much there. But if you ever want some good trivia about different period's in Earth's history, I'm your man.

Anyway. That's not this is about. I have a question. So it seems like our powers from home don't work here, and we have cool new powers instead which you know, is cool and all, but say if some of your abilities back home had neutralized a disease you had struggled with most of your life back home -- would you find yourself suffering from it again here?

Just, you know, asking for a hemophiliac friend of mine.

I see. I can see how that would be problematic.

[ Nikolai makes a mental note. If they're ever in trouble, this man will need protection. Armour of some kind would be preferable.

Well, in the absence of a magical saviour for your problem, perhaps a practical one would suffice? You could investigate some kind of protection, make breaking the skin less likely.

It's true -- and I haven't learned control of it quite yet but it seems Astoria has given me the power to create force fields, so that should help with some protection.

[not only for himself, but to help keep other people safe too.]

Well, that seems rather useful. Have you managed to activate them, or is all of this a work in progress?

I did accidentally once or twice -- I haven't seemed to manage to do it on purpose yet. It's definitely a work in progress.
