Hey. So my name is Dr. Nathaniel Heywood, but most people just call me Nate. I'm a historian, not a medical doctor, so if that's something you need, I probably can't help you much there. But if you ever want some good trivia about different period's in Earth's history, I'm your man.

Anyway. That's not this is about. I have a question. So it seems like our powers from home don't work here, and we have cool new powers instead which you know, is cool and all, but say if some of your abilities back home had neutralized a disease you had struggled with most of your life back home -- would you find yourself suffering from it again here?

Just, you know, asking for a hemophiliac friend of mine.

[that hemophiliac friend is himself.]

No, I can't say that they do.

[fairysong]

[Sheryl heaves an exaggerated sigh.] One day I'll meet someone who's actually heard of all the history I know. One day!

[annalist]

Sorry. But, if you ever want to tell me about it, I'm more than willing to listen. If that helps, at all.

It's not like it's a real issue. It'd just be nice to meet someone from the universe I'm from, that's all.

[She pauses.] Has your earth made contact with aliens yet?

[annalist]

My earth specifically? Not that I know of, but I know some people who technically qualify as aliens from another Earth.

[well he doesn't actually know clark, just kara, and only vaguely, but whatever. close enough.]

[fairysong]

[There's a longer pause than before as she works out just what he's saying.]

So you... have made contact with aliens, then. Right?

Am I understanding you right?

[annalist]

I have. Though they look like us, they just have different abilities.

[fairysong]

I don't suppose one of those abilities is the power to get really, really big? Like fifty feet tall?

[annalist]

Nope. At least, not that I know of. I don't really know them that well, but they've worked with us to save our world before, and vice versa.

[fairysong]

...it was worth a shot to ask, I suppose. [It's one thing having Klan here now, but before this, nobody had even heard of her universe.] What brought them to Earth in the first place? The first meeting with a non-human race is supposed to be pretty eventful, don't you think?

[annalist]

Their plane was being destroyed -- one was sent to protect the other.

[though now kara is younger than clark??? someday he needs to learn more of the details about that but usually when they see kara there isn't a lot of time to chat.]
