Okay! So I've been meaning to ask this for a little while. But I'm curious to see what sort of weapons everyone here has. We're all from different worlds, right? So we probably don't all use the same sort of stuff when we get into a fight.

I'll start us off.

[She shifts the camera over to show off a very high tech looking red scythe.]

So this is Crescent Rose. She's my baby, I made her myself back at school. She's a Scythe that can change into a sniper rifle. Perfect for short and long range combat.

[And now her face is right back in front of the camera.]

So come on! Don't be shy! Show me what you got!

I didn't really come here with a weapon, but I was able to bring a piece of technology from my home world.

You made that yourself?

[ Pause. ]

That is quite impressive.

Oh... Well I guess that's kind of cool.

What does it do?

[She clearly doesn't seem super impressed but she is interested. She holds her precious scythe closer, almost hugging it.]

I did! She's pretty much the most spectacular weapon in the world. At least to me. I had to make her back when I was in school. I've had her for about two years now.

[ no video, not yet. inej is currently tracking down some new people, and exploring the temple through the trees and rooftops. but ruby's post piques her curiosity. ]

What about you? Anything cool?

I mostly use knives.
No such luck or skill with guns.

That amount of artistry is impressive, though.
You must be skilled, to create something that intricate.

Hey, knives are cool too. Do you get up close and personal with them or do you go all throwey with them? Or both?

[Her face goes red and she rubs the back of her head.]

D'awwww. I guess you could say that. I ended up getting a lot of guidance from my uncle when it came to putting it together initially. I could probably put it back together from scratch these days though.

Close combat, mostly, but I can throw them if necessary.
I usually try not to give people the opportunity to duck.

Is it a family business, then?

[Ikaruga focuses the camera on a somewhat long sword with a red sheath and ornate hilt.]

This is Mugetsu-Ryu. Since my magic from home no longer works, it's just a well crafted blade. It's impressive that you crafted Crescent Rose yourself.

Oh~ Isn't chat a charming looking sword!

[Ruby's head leaned in closer to the camera to get a better look at it. Her eyes wide with wonder.]

You could channel your magic into it? I remember you telling me about your abilities before but I didn't know you used them with something that awesome!

Really? It was actually kind of common back where I'm from for people to make their own weapons. I actually ended up making mine back in school.

Using my magic with the level of precision I pride myself on requires a quality weapon. It's rare in my world for a mage to have crafted their own weapon, if they use one.

I guess that makes sense. So you focused on one skill and let someone good at crafting make you up a top notch weapon. I can get behind that.

We have craftsmen too, but it's pretty dangerous to go out on your and not know how to take care of your weapon if it gets damaged.

It helps that my weapon is not technological. The only thing separating it from being an ordinary sword is that it was forged to withstand magic being wielded through it.

But why would you need to turn a perfectly good scythe into something else?

In case something is too far away for me to get a good cut at it? I'm pretty quick but can get the job done faster than getting over there and swinging at it.

I can't say I'm not completely baffled about turning a blade into something that isn't a blade, but that's way, way above my paygrade. Very impressive, though.

[And since she asked and since he's proud of his own weapon, he adds:]

I've got a sword that teleports.

Well prepare to be amazed!

[She steps over to scythe and shows off where the trigger a for the weapon is when it's still in it's scythe form. A moment later the blade collapses and the entire weapon folds in on itself turning into a fairly compact looking rifle.]

Ta-da~!

[She leans in closer when he mentions his own weapon.]

Oh? Does it teleport to you? Or does it teleport into other people? How does that work?

[mollymocked]

[He applauds her with a genuine laugh of glee.] Bravo!

[What? It was cool and he's like a little kid sometimes.] It teleports me. Lets me get closer to someone or farther away. Real handy in a pinch.

[He's just gonna omit that it can only work once per long rest- he assumes her rifle-scythe follows a similar principle BECAUSE THAT'S HOW ENCHANTED WEAPONS WORK, RIGHT??]

[Klan isn't the most familiar with more traditional human weaponry, but she's definitely familiar with guns, so that takes her interest to some degree.

The video might look a bit weird, though, considering Klan's backdrop is some trees that are either very, very short, or Klan is just very, very tall, because she's about twice as tall against them as any normal person should be.]

Huh, didn't think we'd have anyone here who could build a weapon like that. Not bad. [Though it does make Klan miss her own transforming weapon, so to speak.] I don't have it here, obviously, but I piloted a variable fighter back in my world, which is basically a fighter jet that can transform into a mecha suit. I'd show it off if I could.

[There are stars in Ruby's eyes as she hears Klan describe her fighter.]

Awww man. I'm guessing that was too big for Astoria to bring over here? That's lame. But it does sound really freakin' cool. We had mech suits back where I'm from but they couldn't transform into other things.

[It's about then that Ruby gets a look at the tiny trees and tilts her head.]

Where did you find the small forest?

Probably. She would've had to shrink it, anyway, it's designed for me at full height.

[Which Klan has a pretty good excuse to elaborate on once Ruby makes that remark on small forests, which has Klan looking faintly confused for a moment before it clicks and she laughs.]

I didn't. Hold on. [Klan holds her phone directly above her head, arm straight, so it's looking down at herself...and the fact that with the addition of her arm's length, it's looking down from a height of about twelve feet to where Klan's feet are firmly planted on the ground.]

I'm normally...it'd have to be at least three times this height. The witch must've figured that was a bit much for the temple to handle.

[She still sounds just as confused up until the Klan holds up the phone and she gets a handle on just how tall Klan actually is.]

Woah-how have I not seen you around here up until now?

And you're normally bigger?

Holy freakin' crap.

That's so cool.

There probably isn't a top shelf designed that you can't reach.

Uh... no, but you can get other people to do it for you? Which is much better, since that means you're not ever in any danger yourself.

I guess. But what if you like fighting monsters or bad guys? Why would you want someone else to have all the fun?
