Soooo how's everyone feeling?
[THIS MESSAGE HAS A PURPOSE HE SWEARS]
Serious question, by the way. I talked to Astoria as soon as we got back, and she was pretty worried about the way I. . . felt to her?
[GOD PUTTING IT THAT WAY SOUND WEIRD]
She said that I brought something back with me from Struxta. Something dark, evil, heavy. . . wrong? I don't know about you guys but absolutely none of that is confidence inspiring. Wonder why.
[AHA]
She also told me that the wilting plants around the temple aren't normal. "Everything here seems to be just here. Present, alive, blooming," is what she said, word for word. She's never seen anything here die before.
[. . .]
I don't really know what she's talking about, especially because I feel just fine. I don't think she does yet either, though I imagine she's going to investigate. Just be careful, all right? And if you notice anything off about yourself, let me or someone else know.
Because if we all came back possessed by space demons or infected by robot tuberculosis I'm gonna be pretty pissed.

I mean, most of us aren't robots.
Some of us definitely are.

I thought I was just getting a cold
[ she's completely ignoring space demons and robot tuberculosis because like

But we also ought to keep an eye on everyone's health, in case something stupid happens.

[for Astoria, and for all of them]
But yeah, I agree. And not just health; ANYTHING that might seem out of the ordinary. Like the dying plants.

However. Hypothetically. How do you feel about quarantine?
[If Astoria has singled Akira out for "dark, evil, heavy, wrong" maybe it's time to think about it? Possession can also be contagious.]
no subject
She didn't say I was contagious, so it's probably unnecessary.
[aka he is adamantly against quarantine, so long as him being out and about isn't. . . dangerous to others]

"Dark, evil, heavy, and wrong". I hope she was a little more specific than that.
[That's far too vague and almost... metaphorical for his analytical mind. Terribly lacking in helpful information.]

[The news that they had got infected with some strange space sickness felt a bit unreal at first and it took Tyrion a while to fully understand the meaning of the words he had just read.
It was somehow wrong in his understanding that they had got infected with something since he had assumed that Astoria would protect them. He didn't want to image what could happen when you got infected with a sickness from a different world.]
Do you think that it is lethal or that it is more like a flu?
[He didn't have a lot of medical knowledge, mostly the basic knowledge people who are sometimes sick have.]
no subject
[it's hard for Akira to say when he isn't even 100% sure it's a sickness at all. at least, not yet]
Maybe Astoria will be able to tell us more about. . . whatever it is, with time.

I feel alright, probably just not healthy from not eating as much as I should have while we were in Struxta, some real food will fix that.
Wow though, robot tuberculosis? I'll vote it's space demons, all this wild traveling might actually be doing something too.
no subject
[stupid gray goop]
I wasn't keeping a vote until now. That's one for space demons. Maybe the popular vote will sway the outcome.

I feel fine but if nothing is supposed to die here and we have something we brought back with us...
We need to find out more. She suggest any means to track this down?
no subject
She said something about you, too?
[so it isn't just him. . .?]
And no, she didn't make any suggestions on how to track it down.

now that you mention it, i have been feeling kind of off

[ whatever the hell that is ]
some people have healing powers though, right? maybe they can fix up the flowers!
no subject
[it's vague, but Akira is pretty sure he knows what Prompto means]
You'd have to ask the people with healing powers. All I can do is accidentally fall through walls.

Now that I think about it, wasn't it a plague that wiped out the organic life on that star?

Yeah. It was.
When we didn't get sick while exploring the tunnels, I assumed it was long gone.
