Anyone feeling a little...strange recently? Perhaps a bit normal?

[He's weedling for answers and not being subtle about it, no apologies ever. Not when he can feel his Light racing through his veins in sharp pulses. The start and stop nature of it, and what Astoria had said previously about the temple itself, is equal parts comforting and horrifying. One moment he feels alive and the next nothing, back to nothing more than a dulled machine.]

I know our lovely lady in the sky supposedly gave us all magic, I don't know I've only seen it, but I mean. Anyone feeling a little bit more like themselves then they have in a while?

[ he waves his hands back and forth on the screen, like that gesture alone would convince cayde of the impossible. ] Don't you have something like this back in your world? An avaform? It's what Galateions use when they need to interact with tinier races.

[Daylight is big, and he can put two and two together but there's still that overarching confusion. Because wat.]

Avaform. Avatar holoform. It's, um, a thing that some Galateions have. When they visit a planet and they think they'll stand out too much for one reason or another? They use this- [ he pats himself down for emphasis. the movement causes the body to ripple, distortion in the form of light and pixel coming and going. ] -to blend in with the crowd.

Huh. Who'd have thought?

[While he can admit that being able to blend in would come in handy, it's still a difficult thing to wrap his head around.]

Suppose secrecy can be good sometimes. You come up with that one yourself?

[ daylight shakes his head, smiling easily enough. ]

It’s what some Galateions can do! I, um, inherited from my dad. [ that’s the right word to use, he thinks. he'll need to ask someone later, if he can.

he adds, ] But to be clear- My avaform generation is a lot more limited compared to other Galateions. See this form?

[ another pat to his 'body.' another ripple of light and pixels. ] It's the only one I can make. Other Galateions can change their appearance and stuff if they need to. I can't.

[ which is a little frustrating, he's not gonna lie. ]

Gotcha. [Sort of.] If it's an avatar, does that mean that you can't like...interact with stuff? I see the whole rippley thing you've got going on, and I'll admit I'm not an egghead when it comes to some of this stuff, but you got me curious now.

I can interact with stuff! It's super limited though. Like... Like... [ um... let's see... where to being? ] It all feels sort of... distant? Dampened, in a way.

Also- I can't eat or drink things. It'll go right through me and go 'splat!' on the ground.

[ he definitely says that in an embarrassed little voice. ]

[Okay, that gets a laugh. He can imagine the scenario now: a rude, unfortunate discovery during a pivotal moment in some sort of super secret spy mission. Or maybe just a 'whoops' when trying to get a cup of coffee, who knows? Cayde doesn't. That doesn't matter though.]

[ daylight puffs out his cheek, clearly embarrassed. ]

The star cloud looked so... so fluffy. I thought I could have it since I thought, you know, it'll be light enough. [ he shrugged, clearly sulking at the memory now. ] Apparently not. I ended up causing a mess and then some.
