So.
[It's a wonderful way to start a video out, Cayde's quite aware of that; eloquence, thy name is Exo.]
Anyone feeling a little...strange recently? Perhaps a bit normal?
[He's weedling for answers and not being subtle about it, no apologies ever. Not when he can feel his Light racing through his veins in sharp pulses. The start and stop nature of it, and what Astoria had said previously about the temple itself, is equal parts comforting and horrifying. One moment he feels alive and the next nothing, back to nothing more than a dulled machine.]
I know our lovely lady in the sky supposedly gave us all magic, I don't know I've only seen it, but I mean. Anyone feeling a little bit more like themselves then they have in a while?
[This is way too much of a coincidence.]

... Yeah, I don't think that happens much where I'm from... But thanks?

But really, go on about this magic. Like, don't skimp on the details.

[He's laughing. Seriously though, he's pretty damn curious.]
My magic comes from those rocks and they're called materia. They're made up on the lifeforce of the earth so they're literally contained energy sources. Get a fire one, you can cast fire. Get a thunder one, you can zap shit. That's pretty much the basics of it. They usually have to be slotted into weapons and armour to help with aim and the strength of the spells. Plus it's easier to carry them around.

[Earth lifeforce though? Interesting, and honestly not as far fetched as he would have thought.]
So magic rocks. [Yes.] Where do they come from though? I mean, I've seen some pretty impressive rocks in my day but all of them generally came from some freaky big-bads or weird magic stuff.

Uhhh. Right, they come from mako springs. Openings in the earth where the uh... Life of the planet seems out. The energy in the spring gets condensed and pop you get magic rocks.
[Nailed it.]

[He's actually willing to take that at face value, it's not any stranger than anything back home. Maybe that's a little worrying.]
And then you just scoop 'em up and whoosh! Magic!?
no subject
So, what about you, man? What's all this about whispering and dark corners?
no subject
[But really...]
Oh not me, no whispers here. Friend of mine, see she's got this rock? Glows green, apparently talks to her, honestly it's a little bit of a downer sometimes.
no subject
Yeah, I don't think rocks are supposed to talk. You sure she's alright?
[Or is she kind of crazy like another person with silver hair he knows that talks to rocks??]

Yeah. I'll pass on those kinds of rocks, thanks.
