Do they make it back home or... something else? It doesn't seem to make much sense.

But that doesn't make any sense. If you're recruiting people for a war, why would you ever let them just leave after going through the effort of bringing them here...?

I don't know much about magic, but that seems likely. Even then, you'd think that she'd try harder to keep us here after going through the effort of taking us. It doesn't seem smart to fight a war based on random people. You can't strategize at all then.

maybe she can't focus enough for specific people or something...?
i don't know much about magic either but doing something like this seems like it would be complicated
