[ TEXT ]
Hey guys! I know we’re all busy right now with all the wild stuff you guys have managed to find out but wanted to get your opinion on something.
It’ll be real quick, I swear.
If I attempted to convince a citizen here to let me try out the Mass Subconscious thing out - Where does that land on the ‘good idea’ scale that ranges from one to ten?

( ooc; this post is connected to this little event of daylight's! if you have any concerns/questions/comments, please feel to leave them over at the top-level. o / )

daylight is so excited by these turn of events that he's vibrating where he's standing. ]
You are? That's so cool!! Hi!!
Sorry if this is, like, super intense or weird or anything but it's been a while since I've met another mechanoid since my arrival to the Temple.
Hi! [ daylight. please. ]

Oh. Uh, hi?
[ That was such a strong reaction 9S had far from expected. ]
And how long has that been?
no subject
That's the longest since I've been separate from other mechanoids, period. [ all his life, daylight has been around other androids/robots/etc one form or another. even when being raised by auntie laura and uncle leeds, he had regular exposure thanks to uncle kingsguard and neckbreak and so on. ]
Sorry if this is a bit too much, by the way. It's been a whole two months and we're in a city filled with other robots and it's really cool! I think it's cool. Do you think it's cool?
[ someone please take daylight's access to the network away. ]

... And poses a more complicated question than likely intended, if their childish responses are anything to go by. 9S is not typically a joykill, but he can't share the same enthusiasm for the city they've landed in, for a few reasons. ]
I don't know. I think it's kind of weird, to be honest.

daylight weighs the pros and cons on following after this potential conversation branch buuuut it doesn't take too long for him to decide. his curiosity gets the better of him, soon enough. ]
Really? Can I ask why's that?
no subject
I don't think you'd understand. [ If there's one thing being in Struxta is bringing to light for 9S, it's that no one ever really seems to get his worldview. So he isn't hopeful that Daylight would understand his scorn for a bunch of machines, nor his distaste for androids who seem to have no issue syncing up to the same network as them. ] But I don't like it.

okay.
daylight is a little unsure of how to respond at first - he's mostly focused on trying to ignore the kneejerk sting he feels after reading the reply, telling himself he has no right to sulk and yet - but he manages to shake it off. he tells himself that it's a choice he's gotta respect so. yeah.
roll with the punches, day. ]
I get it! Kind of? Hopefully? I don't think I'll understand, like you said, but I'll do my best to respect it.

Right, thanks.
[ Probably for the best that's said over text, so the touch of awkwardness that comes with the response is lost with it. Now, rewinding a bit— ]
So, you're still going to connect to their network?
no subject
Besides! It seems safe that I do it than anyone else who might want to try. If I take a hit from this, the most that happens is you guys needing to make sure you don't lose a ten feet hybrid while I'm recovering/getting fixed up. :P
