He decided to make some outreach to those who have been here longer, or maybe someone who could better answer this questions: ]

i realize this may be slightly familiar. new people always have the most questions, right? i am a little concerned about the..magical part of this? that may be a little too broad...

i'm sorry. i wanted to ask how do we understand these...powers? but also, what is the point of bringing us here. i would like to see if anyone is...well, if they are have spoken to astoria?

Well, I think it's pretty great.
Maybe I could help you practice while I work on my own? I'm still figuring it out, but if I can make it work and you can mimic it, then that's two birds with one stone!
Possibly actual stones, depending.

I can sort of channel the elements around me into some kind of earth-magic?
Hence the 'actual stones'!

I'm fine, luckily, but I'm worried about how widespread this is.
It seems to have gotten to almost everyone here.
