voice & text | week two
Since we’re all feeling a little under the weather this month, I thought of a way we could still have fun while we’re rotting away in our beds from boredom: a choose-your-own-adventure game.
I understand that this might be a new concept for some of you, so I’ll explain how the game works before we get started. I’ll give you a single prompt to start with. Your job is to reply to my prompt and wait for more information from me. I’ll then give you another prompt based on what actions you took in your response… in other words, it’s a bit like collaborative storytelling. However, only one writer can establish the setting, and that’s me.
Got it?
Now… let’s begin.

Now… let’s begin.
Weary traveler! The spooky, demon castle that you had set out for when you started your journey to slay its lord months ago is upon you. It rests atop high cliffs, its darkened towers and turrets looming over the forest surrounding it. It appears to be guarded only by a drawbridge. But be careful! It hovers above treacherous waters. Try not to fall in.
How do you wish to proceed?

[it is very difficult to strong arm Akira into anything]

You can just call me Bakura.
Been here long?
no subject
Four months. I was in the very first group of people Astoria brought here.

And here I thought you were a newbie... I stand corrected.
But I'm sure I'll know as much about this place as you do soon enough.

Can't and won't deny that, either. But if we wind up on opposite sides of the fence, I'll still send you a Christmas card.
[what]
no subject
Too bad it'll be in vain since I don't celebrate Christmas.
no subject
A birthday card, then. Or do you not celebrate your birthday, either?

Annual "I feel like throwing a party in my honor" day?
no subject
Shouldn't that be every day?
no subject
But I don't think people will attend your parties every single day.

Do you. . . not have any friends?
[Akira that's rude!1]
no subject
You say that like it's the worst thing that could possibly happen to a human being.
no subject
Probably not the worst, no. But it must be lonely that way.
no subject
If anything, not having to rely on other people's support just makes you stronger.

[that's it]
[just "nope"]
