Anyone feeling a little...strange recently? Perhaps a bit normal?
[He's weedling for answers and not being subtle about it, no apologies ever. Not when he can feel his Light racing through his veins in sharp pulses. The start and stop nature of it, and what Astoria had said previously about the temple itself, is equal parts comforting and horrifying. One moment he feels alive and the next nothing, back to nothing more than a dulled machine.]
I know our lovely lady in the sky supposedly gave us all magic, I don't know I've only seen it, but I mean. Anyone feeling a little bit more like themselves then they have in a while?

If something is really breaking down, we'll just have to go and fix it. That's what I'm getting from being here, that's what our witch in the sky wants us to do with all the other places, so it'd make sense that we eventually gotta fix our quote-unquote home.

You're pretty optimistic about all this. I guess we've managed to fix the other places so far, but two's not a great record either.

[Is it optimism, really? Or is it a slight tinge of cynicism creeping in? It’s hard to say, but the one thing Cayde is certain of is that he’s quite sick of feeling powerless, both figuratively and literally.]
What’s the phrase though, ‘third time’s a charm’? You gotta go in knowing that we’re going to win, because we are. Doesn’t do anyone any favors if you doubt right from the start.

You got any leads? If there's a way we can start doing something about this already, I'd be game. The way my "power," if that's what we wanna call it, from back home works, there's stuff I can think of that might block it or bring it back... But if I'm right, there's not a whole lot we can do about it.
[So he's hoping that someone with something that works differently might have more insight.]

The only lead I've got right now is from our head honcho herself. Something about the temple blocking powers, so I'm going to go out on one hell of a limb and say that something's up with our home sweet home. I mean, don't get me wrong, I'd rather have my Light back than not, but this is just a little weird all things considered.

Weird is one way to put it, and it's become pretty much the only way in Firo's book. He sighs, impatient with this whole situation and with himself for not figuring out how to fight his way out of it.]

[Yes, that's very, very helpful and so very informative. He's not a Warlock though, not prone to religious musings, and he certainly isn't a Titan with their straightforward ways.]
It's...I dunno, think of it like the magic here? Only different. Real different. The Light, it's what makes us who we are back home. Gives us life, a purpose. And some pretty funky powers to boot.

Long story short, I was dead for a while, the Light found me and made me not dead, and now it keeps me from ever being permanently dead. Well, it did back home. Forgive me if I'm not going to test it out here right yet.

I mean, immortality, badass powers, it does sound like a pretty sweet deal doesn't it? Now, some people don't like being stuck in the whole 'hero' roll for the rest of their lives, and I can get that, and sometimes you gotta wonder who you were before all of it, but there's really nothing that can be done about it. So might as well enjoy shooting bad guys and all the travel.
