[We open on a young man who looks —tired, mostly. Longish hair, though he’s at least better shaven now than upon his arrival. The one odd thing is that his left arm appears to be flickering between something that looks like metal and normal skin. It’s clear he’s rather annoyed by it, but he finds a lot about this place annoying.]
Been here about a month, so I guess it’s as good a time as any to introduce myself. [Translation: Steve probably made him do it.] I’m James. From Brooklyn, or so I’m told. I’ve already got some idea of what’s going on here, but this —[with a nod to his arm] is gettin’ real annoying. Is there anyone it’s actually staying for? For more than five minutes?
