text;week 2
[ Right... The watch thing can function as a phone, is what Minato had been told, though it's been largely silence on his wrist and he hardly ever bothers with it. The lack of correspondence is normal and is fine with him, but it's times like this where he thinks it useful for reaching out to people, both who he's talked to and not. ]
Just wondering... Does anybody have a dog, or knows how to take care of dogs? Or know if it's okay for a dog to eat nothing but curry for a week...
[ The answer to his last question is obviously a "no," but it leads to the question he's implying but doesn't really want to admit. AKA he has no idea what to feed a dog, as he was the one in charge of taking his out for a walk but not of meals, and it's since dawned on him that a strict diet of curry isn't the best for either people or dogs.
For those who'd rather speak in person, Minato will most likely be found in his room, laying flat on his back on his bed, Koromaru flopped over on his stomach. Both of them seem listless— the usual, for Minato, but quite unusual for the dog who'd be the first to jump to his feet to greet you at the door. ]

i think sena would yell at me if i fed her nothing but curry for a week and that probably goes for dogs too
but i have some of the food that he made for little john that i think we could share with a dog!
no subject
I don't want to keep relying on you, so I was hoping to learn how to make it.
no subject
but since sena's sick right now he can't really teach anybody how to make it [ sorry sena, selling you out ]
once's he's not though!! i'll definitely definitely ask him how he made it

Maybe mix up the curry with something else? Dogs like meat and stuff, right? This place seems low on kibble

Is there a library here or some way to look up the information?

Depends on what's in it. Um... Sara!
[He calls the name into empty air and the wet, hacking cough that follows is joined, off camera, by a snuffling noise. Then a big, furry face noses its way under Hank's arm, first cutting off the camera's view of Hank and then obscuring him completely. His question is still audible, though, and then there's a pause as Hank listens to nothing.]
What d'you put in curry? ...Cause Sumo can't eat it, can he?
[He shoves his way under Sumo's chin, finally, to rasp at the camera.]
She says garlic and onions aren't great. Raisins are a no-no, if you got those in there. Uh, some nuts are bad, can't remember which ones... If you don't feed him too much it's probably just gonna give him the shits, or make him puke if the uh, little food parts aren't cut up small enough. Sumo's gotten food every day since we got here, I guess the uh, creepy ghost butlers must pull it out of somewhere. If you're that worried about what to feed your dog, why don't you just ask them where they get their shit?
no subject
I'm not the one who made the curry, so I don't know. So, no garlic, onions, raisins, nuts... I'll remember that. Thanks.
[ He thinks there might have been onion in the curry, though, and reaches over to pet Koromaru's head apologetically. He should have eaten those along with the dog's share of carrots. ]
I didn't know the ghosts had dog food, either. They won't talk to me.
[ He's tried talking to them plenty, never about anything important and never to request anything, and they just sort of... float there, until they get bored, and then phase through a wall where he can't follow. ]
no subject
[Hank shudders, which is either horror at the idea or a shiver, but the difference doesn't matter to Sumo, who tries to flop on top of whatever part of Hank is closest. The resulting shoving match makes the screen interesting watching or, if Minato's decided to forego looking at his watch altogether, Hank's grunting at Sumo's utter refusal to move lasts for a few seconds.]
Fuckin, Sumo... I don't know, his food's just kinda appeared in my room whenever those stupid fuckin flowers do, I try not to think about it too hard. Maybe they got a ghost cupboard somewhere, you tried following any of em?

takes you up on that ACTION OPTION
He at least knocks against the doorway as he enters, pausing at the entry way; he has a plate of thinly sliced meat across rice, something sniped from Korwa's attempts at feeding herself, which... while not his favorite... he knows dogs like meat, and people also like meat? So. ]
I made a little too MUCH. [ As way of explanation, which is not entirely true but also not entirely false, but. ] Are either of you hunGRY, or at least willing to take some off my HANDS?
no subject
I wasn't, but now I am.
[ You know how it is, when somebody offers you food. ]
What about you, Koromaru? Hungry?
[ Koromaru barks in return, a happy doggy smile on his face in place of jumping up and down in joy. ]
no subject
I didn't want it to go to WASTE, and I saw you were wondering about food options for DOGS... [ ...so. He glances at Koromaru, then. gingerly. holds out his hand for him to sniff. He has a friend with a dog, but he's still a cat person at heart, having two of them, so. ] A pleasure to meet YOU. I'm an acquaintance of Minato-kuN'S... I hope that the two of us can get aLONG.
[ he's very serious don't take this away from him. ]

If there isn't dog food available, a basic meat and a starch is best. Boiled. Chicken and rice, beef and rice.

Koromaru seemed pretty happy eating it. But maybe he just liked getting to share a meal.
no subject
Though if he ate it, he ate it. Still, it might be better to get something less exciting for his stomach.

Absolutely not. That level of salt in the meat and those will spices will make them sick. Where did you even get that foolish idea from?

[Also he doesn't have any pets so. Sh...rugs...?]
But are you going to be okay?
no subject
[ Rather than a pet, Koromaru really is a partner to him, somebody he knows would have his back no matter what, and that's worlds of comfort. ]

[Pet Care 101 seems like the kind of thing you look into before you adopt.]
Did one follow you from home or something?
no subject
Yeah. I used to live with him back home, with some others. So he isn't exactly my dog... we all took care of him.
I wasn't in charge of meals.

Minato turns over in bed and tries to mentally beam this message into Akira's head, but Koromaru's the one he's here for, so he rouses the dog to let him know somebody's here to see him. ]
You're popular, aren't you...
[ Koromaru barks his hello, although he doesn't rise even after Minato rolled over and slides him sideways off his stomach. ]
